Untrue. Private individuals owned cannons at the time the Bill of Rights was drafted, and their right to do so was unquestioned.
Gatling guns and machine guns were owned without restriction until fairly recently. Don't try to pass off your own interpretation as settled truth.

included. Semi-automatic rifles however are not only necessary but a staple of modern militias both here where we've luckily never needed them

99% of state licensing requirements are ridiculously unnecessary. Their only real purpose is to raise money for the state. The plumber, insurance agent, realtor, or midwife, etc. can get certified as competent by private testing agencies. Let the consumer determine for themselves who will do the job. Nearly all licensing tests, training, and study materials are already provided on a contract basis by private companies now.

It is not criminal for one woman (or women) to help another woman out with the birthing processes...grandmothers, mothers, sisters, aunts, friends have been doing it for thousands of years. What is criminal is practicing medicine (getting paid) without a license.. It's a fine line yes, but it is a line nevertheless and she knowingly and wilfully crossed it.
There is also the issues of criminally negligent homicide, identity theft and criminal possession of a forged instrument. The homicide charge is double-edged; key is first determining whether or not the baby could have been saved had it received emergency medical sooner and how much sooner and what is the reasonable expectation of 'sooner'. Not all women rush to the hospital upon the first labor pain...many may wait until their contractions are closer together before doing so...why spend hours in an uncomfortable hospital while you can spend them at home. And let's say that she advised the mother to go to the hospital, but the mother chose to delay. So Catlin is found not guilty, but now the State charges the mother which is a bit of an oxymoron since the State doesn't recognize Catlin as a professional since she doesn't have a license.

The comments have the answer. He didn't need capital since he just created a fake order to buy something
